CHRISSY BAST
Closing Coordinator, Licensed Agent

Chrissy BastChrissy Bast is a lady with all the answers. As Star’s closing coordinator, she is constantly helping real estate agents from other firms understand the how’s, when’s, and why’s of the minutiae related to government programs and bank-owned properties. For those not familiar with the processes, it can be overwhelming; for Chrissy, it’s what makes her a valuable member of the Star team – and much appreciated by agents throughout the region.

A licensed Realtor® with an associates degree in accounting, Chrissy’s knowledge also makes it easier for her to quickly provide answers to agents and Star clients on settlement statements, financial disclosures and any other item related to closing a real estate transaction.

Chrissy takes to her agent-support role naturally. She grew up in a home where her mother worked three jobs to provide for the six children, and Chrissy was tasked with taking care of her two younger sisters. That responsibility at a young age taught Chrissy the need for accountability and efficiency – and to expect the unexpected.

“I like working with agents because it’s never the same,” Chrissy said. “Even though I’ve been doing this for years, agents will ask different questions about specific properties, and things still come up that I’ve never encountered before.”

Away from work Chrissy enjoys reading, and juggling the activities of her teenagers Anna, a sophomore cheerleader, and Nathan, a baseball player. Passing on her competitive and accountable mindset to her children, Chrissy is not a fan of the popular “participation trophy.”

“I want them to understand that in life sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. But do your best,” Chrissy said. “You don’t need a trophy to say that you participated and you had a good time. Finishing first is the goal.

Not surprisingly Chrissy’s efforts have helped to make Star Realtors the #1 team in the St. Louis region.

“Second place is just the first loser,” she smiled.
