Fairview Heights is a thriving community located approximately 13 miles east of St. Louis. Ninety-acre Moody Park, also known as Longacre Park, offers a wealth of outdoor recreation. It hosts many family-oriented activities throughout the year. It has a 16,000 square-foot playground, several sports fields, picnic pavilions, tennis courts, a walking and jogging trail, and a scenic lake. This amenity-filled community park is the location of the Midwest Salute to the Arts and other local events.

Public schools in Fairview Heights are part of Districts 110 and 105. There are seven elementary schools and two middle schools. High school students attend Belleville Township High School or O’Fallon Township High School.
